The Halifax Bahá'í Community

The Halifax Baha'i Community was established in 1942 during the war years and has been contributing to the development of the Halifax region continuously for over 79 years. Following municipal amalgamation the six Baha'i communities in HRM (Bedford, Sackville, Cole Harbour, Dartmouth, Halifax, and Lakeside) amalgamated into a single Halifax Regional Municipality community in 1999. Today there are Bahá’ís in virtually every part of the regional municipality, living in and contributing to their neighbourhoods through charitable acts and service.

The Bahá’ís of Halifax offer to all: Classes for the Moral Development of Children; Programs for the Spiritual Empowerment of Junior Youth and Youth; Study Circles for Spiritual Development and Service to others; and Devotional Gatherings. See What Bahá’ís do for more information.
